Coverage should remain connected to the life it serves.

Vehicles are replaced. Households develop. Records accumulate. Each policy is arranged around particular details, and those details deserve to stay accurate.

Chapter 02 / On file versus in real life

Your policy knows your life as it was on the day you signed. What has changed since?

A policy is accurate on the day it is issued. After that, it only knows what it is told. A replaced car, a new driver, a move or a grown child rarely involves a claim or a phone call, which is exactly why these changes stay off the file.

Below, select what has happened in your household. You will see which details are likely affected, what to have ready and how we take care of the update with you.

What each policy needs to know about you

Auto

The car, and the people who drive it.

Each vehicle, where it is kept overnight, how it is used, and every person who drives it regularly.

Health

Who is covered, and which care is included.

The members of the plan, your address, and whether your doctors and regular medicines are part of it.

Life

How much, and who receives it.

A coverage amount that matches what your income supports today, and beneficiaries who reflect your current intentions.

Review these changes with us

Tell us what changed in your own words. We will work out what it means for each policy.

How we take care of it

You tell us what happened. We handle what it means for every policy you hold with us.

  1. 01

    One conversation

Describe the change once. You do not need to know which policy, form or clause it affects.

  2. 02

Checked across Auto, Health and Life

A move or a marriage rarely touches only one policy. We review each one, including details you may not have thought to mention.

  3. 03

    Confirmed in writing

You receive a clear record of what was changed, when it takes effect and whether it affects your premium.

  4. 04

    Revisited at renewal

Each year we invite you to look over your details again, so small changes never accumulate unnoticed.

03 Chapter 03
Keeping details organized

One household can accumulate a lot of insurance information.

An established household may be keeping track of several policies at once: more than one vehicle, several insured people, beneficiaries, renewal dates, documents and contact details, each added at a different time.

Accurate, accessible records make it easier to understand what is currently in place. When the latest documents and details are kept together, it is simpler to confirm which policy applies, who is named on it and when it renews.

When you need it

Most people read their policy for the first time on the worst day to read it.

Here is what actually happens when you call on your coverage: what to do, what we do, and what tends to slow things down.

Read it on an ordinary day, so you never have to learn it on a difficult one.

A collision is stressful even when nobody is hurt. Knowing the order of things keeps it manageable.

  1. I

    At the scene

    What you do

Make sure everyone is safe and call emergency services if anyone is hurt. Photograph the vehicles, plates, road and damage. Exchange names, contact and insurance details, and note any witnesses. Avoid agreeing on fault at the scene.

    What we do

As soon as it is safe, you can report the incident to us. We explain the immediate next steps, including what to do with the vehicle.

  2. II

    The first day

    What you do

Report the claim with your policy number, the date, place and a short description. Send the photographs. Keep receipts for towing or alternative transport.

    What we do

We open the claim and explain, in plain language, what your policy includes for this situation: repairs, your deductible and any temporary vehicle arrangements your terms provide.

  3. III

    The following weeks

    What you do

Arrange the inspection or repair estimate, answer any requests for documents, and keep brief notes of each conversation.

    What we do

We coordinate the assessment, correspond with the other party’s insurer where one is involved, and keep you informed at each stage.

  4. IV

    Until it is settled

    What you do

Review the settlement and the completed repair. Ask about anything that is unclear before you accept.

    What we do

We confirm the outcome in writing and explain whether, and how, the claim affects your policy at renewal.

Keep within reach

  • Your policy number and our claims contact, saved in your phone
  • A photograph of your registration and driving licence
  • A note of every driver listed on your policy

What tends to slow things down

  • Reporting the incident days or weeks later
  • A car or driver that was never added to the policy
  • No photographs or witness details from the scene

Talk to us before you need us

The best moment to ask how a claim works is long before you make one.

We are glad to walk you through how each of your policies would respond in a real situation, which contacts to save and what your family should know. It takes one conversation.

Auto · Health · Life

Three policies can change for different reasons.

Each type of insurance is arranged around different information. Move through the sequence to see what tends to develop for each one.

Auto insurance

Auto

Relevant details can develop as vehicles, drivers, use patterns and household circumstances change.

  • —The vehicles in the household, and how many there are
  • —Who drives each vehicle regularly
  • —How a vehicle is used: commuting, business or occasional use
  • —Where the vehicle is usually kept

Health insurance

Health

Needs may develop as household circumstances and healthcare priorities change.

  • —Ongoing treatment, prescriptions or regular care
  • —Preferred doctors and facilities
  • —Changes in employment that affect existing coverage

Life insurance

Life

Beneficiaries, dependents and financial responsibilities can develop over many years.

  • —Who is named as a beneficiary
  • —Who depends on your income
  • —Obligations such as a mortgage or education costs
  • —How long a household may need support

Read beyond the title.

Question 01 of 08

What does the policy include?

Read the description of what is insured and in which situations. Every other comparison builds on it.

06Chapter 06 / Read beyond the title

Questions worth asking before you choose.

The name of a plan alone rarely tells someone everything useful about it. Looking at the actual details helps people compare options more carefully.

  1. 01What does the policy include?
  2. 02What limits apply?
  3. 03What deductible applies?
  4. 04Are there exclusions or conditions I should understand?
  5. 05Which people, vehicles or circumstances are included?
  6. 06What information needs to remain accurate?
  7. 07What changes should be reported?
  8. 08How does this option differ from another one I am considering?
07 Chapter 07 / The right day

It is an ordinary Monday.

That is exactly why it is the right day to arrange coverage.

Nothing has happened. No one is in a hurry. Most good decisions about insurance are made on days exactly like this one.

A couple spending a relaxed evening together on the sofa at home

Calm decisions tend to be better decisions.

I

You decide with a clear head.

On a quiet day there is time to read the documents, compare options and ask every question on your list. Decisions made after something has already happened rarely have that luxury.

II

You will never apply younger than today.

Life coverage is generally priced on your age and health at the time you apply. Waiting does not make the arrangement any simpler, and every year adds one more to the calculation.

III

The people who rely on you are relying on you now.

Your family drives the car this week, sees the doctor this month and depends on your income this year. Coverage is worth having for exactly the same stretch of time.

What you need to begin

Nothing you do not already know by heart.

  • 01The vehicles in your household, and who drives them
  • 02The people you would like a Health plan to include
  • 03The people you would name as beneficiaries
